And… Relax (Sort of)

A vintage television displays a black-and-white broadcast, capturing a historic moment as a group of individuals stands around a microphone, evoking a sense of nostalgia and the early days of television news.

After what feels like an eternity of non-stop graft, we decided to have a much needed chill evening to relax. Just me, the hubby and the remote oh and of course Pickle. Rymondo wasn’t overly keen on The Girlfriend on Prime, but I was hooked like a trout on a line. Couldn't stop. Watched all six episodes in one sitting. Went to bed at 4am. Regretted all of my life choices by 8am and was hitting the Dairy Milk (for energy of course) by mid afternoon.

I was an emotional husk the entirety of the day. Definitely not functioning at peak human. Somewhere between sleep-deprived and feral, if I'm honest.

And just when I thought I couldn’t get more mentally fried, a friend recommended Unknown Number: The High School Catfish on Netflix. Bit left-field for me. I normally lean more Housewives than hard-hitting. But oh. my. actual. days. I was gripped. It’s one of those “go in completely blind and trust the process” kind of watches. I’m not being dramatic when I say it’s absolutely unhinged in the best way possible.

If you must Google it first, don’t say I didn’t warn you. I’m still wandering around the house muttering “What the actual f@ck?” under my breath like a woman who’s just seen the end of The Sixth Sense for the first time.
