In the soft morning light, a steaming cup of tea accompanies a journal and a delicate feather pen, inviting moments of reflection and creativity.

Phew, what a busy weekend! Saturday saw us out in South Shields at The Word, where Crear Publishing took part in a panel hosted by BIPC (Business & IP Centre North East). And yes, that does mean we were official “experts” for the day, fancy, right?

We were in seriously good company with a brilliant lineup of local authors and publishing professionals, all chatting knowledgeably about the business of writing. Naturally, we were there to share our pearls of wisdom (we do occasionally drop the odd gem), but we also soaked up a ton of insight from others. There’s always something new to learn in this world, especially when you're surrounded by passionate indie creatives.

It was a long day. the kind that leaves your feet aching and your brain buzzing, but completely worth it. We met some fabulous people, and there’s been a real flurry of interest in what we do. We might just be on the verge of some exciting new partnerships with indie authors, which has us positively buzzing.

By the time we got home, it was straight into PJs and onto the sofa with a chilled glass of something dry and white and a heavy dose of highbrow entertainment... and by highbrow I obviously mean 90 Day Fiancé UK. Don't judge. It's research. For... character development. Honest.
