Well… I’ve now had the interesting experience of watching both of the upcoming documentaries I’m in and let’s just say it’s a bit daunting knowing they’ll be airing next year.

First things first: whoever said the camera adds 10 pounds clearly hadn’t seen me in full widescreen with four chins jostling for attention. Honestly, all I wanted was one of those filters or at least a camera held at a respectful, chin-minimising angle (Sheila Fat Face, I see you and I am you). Sadly, no such luck so if you tune in, just know I’m doing it all for the greater good… not for my ego.

That said, once I got past the horror of seeing myself on screen (and the very real urge to hide behind a cushion), I had to admit: the footage is powerful. Painful in parts, yes but also raw, real, and deeply important.

These documentaries don’t just tell our story, they shine a light on the warning signs, the manipulation and the long-term impact of romance fraud. And hopefully, by sharing this publicly, we’ll be able to raise awareness, offer support to others going through similar situations, and maybe even help stop it from happening to someone else.

So, chins and all, I’m proud to be a part of it.

More details (and air dates) coming soon and I promise to remind you just before they go live, so you can settle in with a cuppa (or a stiff drink) and watch me relive the chaos in glorious HD.
