Well, aren’t we just giddy with excitement. Crear Publishing (that’s me, my long-suffering hubby Ryan, and our eternally unimpressed rescue cat, Pickle) are absolutely thrilled to be organising and sponsoring the very first Northeast Indie Book Fest.

It’s all happening on 20th September at the fabulous Field & Fodder in Bearpark, Durham, an absolute gem of a venue that promises good vibes, great views, and a cheese and charcuterie situation to tantalise even the most jaded of tastebuds.

And here’s the big news: tickets have completely SOLD OUT! That’s right, every last one snapped up, which is equal parts exciting and mildly terrifying. We’re set for a cracking afternoon filled with fascinating local authors, bookish banter, and the kind of literary love-in that makes you glad to be a book nerd.

I fully intend to leave with my tote bag brimming with brilliant reads, a slight wine flush (no change there), and an impressive commitment to eating my own not inconsiderable body weight in cheese. It’s going to be brilliant. Possibly tipsy. Hopefully both.

If you’ve got your ticket, I’ll see you there, glass in hand, cheddar in gob and possibly absorbed in my next great read.
