The Leyburn Round Table Christmas Ball

Had the absolute pleasure, and I do mean pleasure of attending the Leyburn Round Table Christmas Ball again this year at the rather grand and imposing Walworth Castle. If you’ve never eaten a festive dinner in a place that looks like it should come with a moat and a ghostly knight or two, I highly recommend it.

The night was brilliant. Great food, great friends, great wine, and an atmosphere so jolly you’d think someone had spiked the gravy with prosecco. I honestly haven’t laughed so much in ages.

One of the evening’s highlights (if that’s the right word) was watching Ryan and Scott dressed as bananas, dancing enthusiastically. violently, even to Scooter. A sight I shall carry with me forever. Possibly into my nightmares. Possibly into therapy. Hard to say yet.

Also, my first festive turkey dinner of the season completed. Only, ooh… another twenty or so to go. My digestive system has entered the chat and is already asking for Gaviscon. ‘Tis the season, after all.
